Pohinahina, Vitex Trifolia Description Pohinahina, or beach Vitex, is a fragrant shrub, low growing from 4 to 20 inches high. The leaves are round to oval in shape, 1 to 2 inches in length. Blue flowers appear at the tips of the stem in clusters about an inch long.

Habitat Pohinahina is found from Hawaii to Japan and India. Pohinahina grows wild on Hawaiian beaches.		Pohinahina is smaller in size than other varieties., with stems about 0.12 inch long, downy above and below.
