'Ulili
Wandering Tattler

Habitat

In Hawaii, the 'Ulili are found in mudflats, sandy beaches, rocky coastlines, and stream beds. In these areas they hunt for fish and other small creatures for food.

A winter visitor to Hawaii, the 'Ulili arrive from Alaska and the Arctic regions in August. During the winter months, wetland areas may be filled with the beautiful call of the 'Ulili.

The 'Ulili is not endangered throughout the world, however, it faces a growing risk of becoming endangered. The loss of wetland habitats threaten the 'Ulili and many other wildlife creatures.
