Koloa
Maoli feed along the surface of the water, up
ending their bottoms as they reach down to get
their food. Feeding in the wetlands and streams,
they prefer water from 1-5 inches
deep.
The
Koloa Maoli eat green algae, worms, seeds,
grasses , insects, snails, and dragonfly
larvae.
Kolao
Maoli are considered opportunistic feeders,
which means that their food source is whatever
they happen to find.
